Baby's Jungle/Forest Room

Baby's Jungle/Forest Room!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Silas's Room :) We already had the room painted green so we just needed to add the accent walls. We had to re-shade the green because it wasn't the bright color that we wanted at first. We also found the perfect rug from Ross. My husband said he didn't want the room to be too "babyish" and this rug is AWESOME. We could use it anywhere in the house if Silas wants to change his room when he's older. Finally we added the tree and other details by using fabric, corn starch and water. All you have to do is paint it on and put it on the wall! I found the instructions here at this blog: http://www.deliacreates.com/?br=http://deliacreates.blogspot.com/

The Finished Room! :)

Homemade Onesies

Homemade Onesies

So here are some SUPER easy yet, CUTE way to make personalized Onesies for the little baby in you life.

What you need:
Print out of what you want on the onesie
Clip Board
Tape
Onesie
Sharpie
Puffy Paint/ acrylic paint (optional- What I used for the guitar onesie)

I gave this to my husband at our co-ed baby shower.

This quickly became my favorite onesie!

Personalized Onesie for my son, we picked his name because it's biblical but also because of the meaning. We live in the forest so it's PERFECT!

To make this Onesie, I put cardboard inside the onesie (a clipboard would work well too) I then drew on the guitar with a pencil and filled it in with puffy paint. DONE

I just put what I wanted the onesie to say on word and printed it off

To make the daddy and Silas Onesie:
  1. Put the clipboard inside of the onesie.
  2. Tape the printed out piece of paper inside of the onesie where you want the writing to be
  3. Trace the pattern from the paper with sharpies (you should be able to see the design coming through the Onesie because the Onesie is pulled by the clipboard
  4. DONE

Pinterest Party

PINTEREST PARTY

SO life has been crazy lately!! Since my last post I've had a baby, two surgeries, found a new church home, watched my baby turn into a 9 month old, and SO much more!!

I had this party a while ago, but still wanted to share with everyone. It was a big success and so much fun!

I asked everyone to bring a "pinterest" inspired goodie to share. It was so much fun to see what everyone decided to bring for their food. LOVED having a reason to make some of the food I've had pinned for a long time.

I also had tons of Mason Jars that were left over form my Wedding to use. We made chalkboard paint, t-shirt scarves, "pallet" coasters, and t-shirt head bands. Some of them were "fails" but it was still a lot of fun to hang out with all my friends and have fun being creative together!

P.S. Don't mind my HUGE prego swollen feet... :) I made these sandals out of t-shirts so that they could stretch with my feet! They worked out great.
