Wild West Scavenger Hunt

For those of you who don't know, my husband and I love to send each other on scavenger hunts! He even sent me on one in order to propose, ending with him and the ring... SO CUTE! Anyways our latest adventure was a Wild West themed hunt. I thought I'd share with you guys in case any of you need inspiration to create your very own scavenger hunt.

1. I woke him up with the first clue: (p.s. Bad Man Dan is our villain that shows up time and again)

2. The next clue was hidden inside of a bucket full of sand and gold pieces.

3. Once he found all of the gold and got the clue he was led to the driveway where the "Saloon" was set up.

4. In order for him to get his next clue he had to spit sunflower seeds into a "spittoon". This proved harder than I thought it would be and apparently made him really thirsty which I didn't think about either. If i were to do it again I'd use a bucket instead, something with a bigger opening. But since my hubby is a good sport he didn't give up, I just had him stop moving farther away from the thing and started handing him more than one piece of the clue at a time. He did awesome though!!!

5. The next clue was two in one. On one side it had a picture leading to where the next clue would be, and on the other side it informed him to stop by the general store before heading out on his next quest. The general store was my favorite part because I could join in and be the clerk. He also had to decide what things he would NEED for the journey. He ended up having to return a few items because he ran out of money.

6. After the store he started to wake up and really get into it!! So he went into our room and changed into some "western" clothes!

7. The picture then lead us to the paintball course below our house. With his pellet guns in hand riding his blue pool noodle horse he bought from the general store we made it to a train crossing sign.

8. After jumping on the train he had to crack the safe. In the safe he found wanted posters and a letter from "bad man dan"

9. For his last challenge he had to go to the paintball course and find all of the "outlaws" and take them down. (We don't condone shooting people and if this would have been for our son we would have done something more along the lines of "bad man dan" let all the cattle loose and he had to now go wrangle them up)

10. Once he had found all the "outlaws" I handed him this last piece of paper...

All-in-all it was a great time!!! Can't wait for the next scavenger hunt!
